If this isn't a cool setting for a little speech, I don't know what is... :-)

Very proudly Georg had the chance to receive the plant category winner award live on stage (here with Liz Bonnin) at the famous ceremony in the Natural History Museum in London. Very cool!

Almost 50.000 entries from 96 countries worldwide - no need to say, there is quite an amount of luck involved, too! Therefore - many, many congrats to all other winners and finalists!

Despite lifelong fame, wealth and glory (not to mention bragging rights) if you win ;-) , it is the truly wonderful award ceremony in the Natural History Museum in London, that sets this competition so far apart from the countless others. So cool to dine under the dino, with so many driving forces of the nature photography industry under one roof! If it only could last just a little bit longer...

The who's who in nature photography under one (very high) roof!

Dining under the dino - how cool is that! Unfortunately, at least so I was told, from next year on it will be dining under the blue whale... (the dino will be gone)

Well, it's in England and it's a photographers event - so it's mostly a feast for the eyes!

And the winner iiiiis.... The moment of truth for this years wpy aspirants! With ever-so lovely Liz Bonnin moderating in perfection!
